MAKING A ROMPER CASUAL

I like pieces that can be versatile, and pieces that can be worn dressed up or down. There are of course, things that are meant to only be worn out to dinner and drinks and articles of clothing that are meant to be worn to the playground with the kids. But, whoever said sneakers are chic is my best friend because swapping out a pair of heels for a pair of sneakers instantly transforms that item and makes it casual. That is what I did here by making a romper casual instead of dressing it up.

I chose this romper for a few reasons. I knew I wanted to wear it mostly during the day so I liked that the neckline wasn’t too plunging. That is a dead giveaway for a piece that should only be worn at night. I also knew I wanted the length to be modest and a lot of rompers are way too short. I actually sized up to a medium here so the length would be more appropriate. There is NO WAY I can wear it without a belt as it is too big.

Typically I HATE self tie belts. (The belt that matches the fabric). But I liked it in this case. It kept the styling minimal and simple and not too showy. If I was to wear this at night I would pair it with this amazing studded belt and these heels.  I met my blogger gal pal Sylvia in the city with our kids and we planned a day to shoot some photos, grab a glass of wine at the Refinery Rooftop and later we had an event for Nuna USA! We had a really fun day, despite the rain we ran into for a little. I knew I needed comfort for a day navigating NYC with two kids and double stroller so I threw on my classic Adidas Stan Smith sneakers and this outfit was complete. (Along with a draped moto jacket for that extra edge- of course.)

I am headed back into the city to finish my microblading with Chelsea from The Brow Authority today and I am so so so excited! I will be writing up a full post once round 2 is healed and am looking forward to sharing my experience!

As aways, thank you so much for reading!

FOREVER 21 HAUL

I used to shop at Forever 21 DAILY. Literally. I worked in midtown right smack in between the Forever 21 in Herald Square and the one in Times Square. I would frequent one or the other on every free lunch break I got and come back to the office and show the girls what I found that day. They told me I had a way of digging through the countless racks of merchandise and finding that diamond in the rough. I was proud of that! Somewhere along the way I stopped shopping there but they now have clothes that fit Blaire so I found myself scouring again. I FOUND SOME DIAMONDS. And I am sharing my finds with you below!

What I am loving at Forever 21

Off to hang by the pool! Have a great weekend!

OUTFIT SNAPSHOTS

Sometimes it gets hard for me to remember what I did each day, Does that happen to anyone? Most of our summer days consist of sitting by the pool and hanging around. When school starts it is going to be a completely different routine for me and for the kids! Until then, here is this week’s Outfit Snapshot roundup!

Monday- sometimes I love a summer rainy day. We have a screened in porch and it is a really cool space to be in when it rains. And in general….as I sit in there writing this post. This sweater is perfect for now on chilly days with shorts as well as into Fall. I found it on sale in a pretty rose color!

Tuesday- I hit the gym for TRX in the morning and then the kids and I went to the mall. I changed into this comfy outfit after my workout. And how cute is Blaire’s mini look? I linked her outfit deets too!

Wednesday- errands with my favorite duo, B and E! It is no secret as a blogger I receive things from brands. I get a lot from Shein and Romwe and I am often asked about quality. It is good for what you pay. I like to say that again and again. This little sweater tank is $15 and SO SOFT and perfect for the season.

Thursday- I met a few of my favorite bloggers down in Atlantic City for a shopping event with Tanger Outlets. We had a great time showing each other our favorite pieces at each store. What is really fun is that we all have such different styles yet each pair things in a gorgeous way. That is what I love about fashion. Not every style is “in style.” It is how you put it all together and make it yours. God I love this industry.

Friday- stayed home allllllll day. I think I wore these shorts that I am obsessed with and this comfy tee.

Saturday- my most lived in pair of jeans. They just get better and better with each wear and wash.
