This little white dress really does make me feel like Marilyn Monroe. I was tempted to do a side ponytail but it was a little TOO much like her with my hair pulled back so I opted out of it. I wore this dress to Everett’s first birthday party and I will share details from his party this weekend! There are limited sizes left because Zara is having a big sale so grab it if you still can!
The back of this dress is what attracted me to it in the first place. It has an amazing low scoop back and it stays in place so well. The halter top has two buttonholes in case you don’t like it being too tight around your neck. I was slightly hesitant to choose a white dress for a backyard BBQ but I was lucky and did not have any trouble with it. I am wearing a Small for reference.
The fabric is like a pebbly crepe and unlined but not see through. Sometimes I hate having a lining in my dresses in the heat because it gets clingy to my legs. This fabric was thick enough to not be at all sheer but not too thick where it was so hot.
I am so sorry about these shoes because I do not have a direct link for them. They were a sample I acquired while working in the fashion industry but I tried to find some good similar options below, which I am so eyeing up! I wore this dress to Everett’s birthday party with flat lace up sandals and it looked so cute. Since I am short I don’t love a lot of dresses with flats on me but this one was floaty and cute and looked so good with both flats and heels.
I have been jumping on the choker bandwagon recently and this gold plated version is kind of a cross between a choker and a really short necklace. This one is old from Loft but I linked a similar version below. I am IN LOVE with this cuff bracelet from Olive and Piper. I got it in the mail only a day before I shot this look and was so excited to add it to my outfit. The center stone is a gorgeous marble and I like that I can squeeze the bracelet together around my wrist. Some cuffs spin around on me but this one is perfect! I wore it with a dressy outfit here but I can totally see styling it with a basic white tee, jeans and heels for a little bling!
My GiGi New York white python clutch goes with everything so it was an easy choice for this dress. And it is on SALE right now for 30% off! White on white is so beautiful in the summer especially with a tan. Now I need to figure out how to get myself one of those…

Shoes (unavailable) these would look amazing, as would these, these and these!
Thank you for reading all about this cute LWD! Have an amazing weekend!
I think it is pretty well known by now that I love the off the shoulder trend. This top makes me want to channel my inner flamenco dancer. It has the flounciest sleeves and the red color is so bright and fun for summer. I think wearing this on a date night for some Mexican food would be way too perfect.
I paired this top with my BlankNYC black denim cutoffs I got back at the ShopBop sale. I wear them at least 3 times a week and I am not sorry about it at all. They are so flattering and comfortable and can be dressed up and dressed down. Since I wear shorts all the time running around with the kids I typically like to wear a dress for a date night but my lace up block heels with these shorts are so good so I made an exception here!
This top has limited sizes available in the red but also comes in 6 other colors, including a deeper wine color. I love love love the mushroom and peach colors!
I posted these lace up sandals awhile back and I still love them just as much now as I did then. A stacked heel really is my best friend because it is so much more comfortable to walk in!
I just got this fringe tortoise bracelet and I LOVE IT. I stacked it with my gorgeous bar bracelet my husband got me when Everett was born and added a pair of skinny hoop earrings. I love this simple yet adorable date night look!

Enjoy the rest of the week!
Statement earrings have always been a piece of jewelry I have been drawn to ever since I was allowed to wear “dangly earrings” growing up. I remember when chandelier earrings were all the rage in high school and I also remember being ecstatic about it. I don’t think times have changed that much because I still love a gorgeous statement earring. What I don’t love is when my ears are aching by the end of the day or night because my earring is too heavy. That is where Chrysmela comes in.
These earring backs are life changing. Have you ever gotten a new pair of earrings, whether they were $4 or $400 and you lost one and were beyond sad about it? I have and it is the worst feeling. Chrysmela has two different types of earring backs but they both “lock” your earrings on your ears so you do not have to worry about losing your earrings. They offer the Chrysmela Catch and Chrysmela Extra. I could not believe that the back actually will not slide off unless you pull on a little disk to release the back.
Chrysmela Extra also has a locking back but adds extra support for heavy earrings. You can even remove the extra disk if you want to but if you are wearing a heavy earring or even any long earring I suggest leaving it on because it helps lift the earring to avoid that weird droopy earlobe look.
I wore these earrings all day and night and by the end of the day I still did not get that achy sore feeling on my earlobes from a heavy earring. I truly put them to the test and am so happy with the results. I tried them out a couple weeks ago at a BBQ with a different pair of earrings and again, they were so comfortable even by the end of the night.
Chrysmela Extra is like putting my precious jewels in a lockbox that only I have the key for. I enjoy having that kind of security!
