LACED UP AND BUNDLED UP

The temps are going to DROP again this week and more snow is on the way! A sweater, scarf and parka are my go to items for when I really need to bundle. I am sure we have all seen lace up sweaters around this season. They are very trendy and I am all for it. I chose the basic black because I tend to gravitate to black but it does come in other colors.

This sweater comes in 4 colors and is $24. It has a slight bell sleeve and a high low hem. I have already worn it about 10 times since I got it- twice just this week. I love lace up sweaters. The extra detailing makes it look very on trend while still being cozy.

I posted this camo scarf on Instagram a few weeks ago and I am so excited to share it now. It is 8 DOLLARS! It is soft and huge and is the first scarf I grab when I am running out the door every morning. Camo is such a neutral for me. I think it goes with everything. It also comes in 1 other color but the traditional olive is my favorite.

I wear these boots so often and sadly the black is sold out. But there is an incredible olive that I kind of want. They are so easy to walk in and I do like a little heel sometimes to feel glam!

I hope you guys have a great week!

OUTFIT SNAPSHOTS

Are you guys having a good weekend?! I am kind of excited for this new series. It allows me to show you some raw photos of what I wear on a day to day basis. I had some pressure to not look atrocious when I took the unflattering selfies but hey, thats the point of this right?! This is literally what I wore every single day this week. I did not leave the house much so a lot was gym outfits and some casual style. Hopefully my life will get more exciting and I will have some more variety. Onto the daily style!

Monday- gym day! (Express is my favorite for gym gear. Especially THIS TOP! Buying it in both other colors)

CHECKS AND RUFFLES

It has literally been raining here for days. I really mean days. I am so sick of sitting inside with the kids and to top it all off our house is full of painters finishing up the job! I am excited to shoot the house and share more posts on it other than Instagram stories. I hope you guys have been loving the progress so far!

Something else I am loving lately is velvet. The lux fabric is just so gorgeous and this top has incredible ruffles front and back to add even more girly glam. My husband was unsure of it at first but when I paired with a skinny jean and sexy heel he got on board. No one said ruffles were for men, right?

It is only the icing on the cake when a top has an added bell sleeve. As if this top was not gorgeous enough they stuck a flared sleeve on it. Bonus points. However I think the best selling feature of this stunning pink number is the price. It is $18. I believe that it looks and feels WAY more expensive than its price tag. Would you agree?

I think the key to wearing a busy top is simplifying the bottom. This top is heavy with details (but not with weight) so I wore a very skinny jean WITHOUT rips (can you believe it) because I didn’t want to look too busy. The jeans did have a released raw hem which I am obsessed with lately and that was enough for this top. I linked similar versions below.

Now this coat– I do not know anyone who does not like buffalo plaid. I personally like a classic black and white check and this coat is so adorable. Just note that it is unlined so it is really just a styled topper not really for warmth. But I like to drape coats like this over my shoulders when going out at night when I do not necessarily want the bulk of a heavy coat but need an extra layer. I think this will be a perfect jacket for that in between winter and spring weather. And it is $25.
