Happy Monday! This week’s Outfit Snapshots is a mix of basics and some fun things to share. My week was filled with the normal mom errands and daily to-do’s but I also went to NYC and a baby shower. My trip to NYC was so fun. I did a styling session with Banana Republic at the flagship store in Rockefeller Center and worked on styling some amazing outfits around the Spring pants. We went out for Mexican after with my sister and it was so nice to be out. Ok, onto the outfits!
OUTFITS- WEEK OF FEBRUARY 20-26
Monday: It was President’s Day and we literally sat around and did nothing. It was the best. I think Everett nailed the sultry blogger pose too.
Joggers // Tee (old, similar here) // Cardigan (also old, similar style here)
Tuesday: Errands and class with Everett again! I just got the cardigan and jeans and both are new favorites around here! I am so sad the cardigan is sold out already!
Friday: Joe and I headed into the city for my styling session with Banana Republic! This top is my new favorite and comes in black and this pretty cream. Wear a bralette under it- I linked my favorite one below.
How CRAZY has the weather been lately? At least it has been here in NJ. The warmth has me itching for some Spring like style and a sweater dress is the perfect way to start showing some leg but allows you to stay a little cozy. Enter the chunky leather + destroyed knits combo.
I love to balance textures. It is my favorite way to add interest to anything, whether it be an outfit or an aspect of decor in my home. Even textured hair adds interest. For this look I added an oversized faux leather sherpa lined jacket to my destroyed sweater dress. I love how the heavy style looks with the delicately ripped dress. I do caution to keep your lint roller handy because the lining of the jacket did shed ever so slightly.
This sweater dress was popular when I posted it here and I knew I had to have it for myself after looking at it. It is definitely thin but to me that made it perfect for wearing in these transitional months, especially with a big warm coat over it., I also have worn it with jeans and tucked up the front and it looked SO CUTE. You really cannot go wrong when the price tag at $25 either.
For some reason I have been loving the burnt red tones lately. Sole Society still has these boots in stock and they will take you into every season and are actually comfortable! I love dresses paired with booties!
As for the rest of my week, normal for us until Friday! I am taking over the Banana Republic dressing room at Rockefeller Center and sharing how I style the new Spring pants! I will post on my stories as I try on and also I will share which ones are my favorites on a blog post! Stay tuned!
This week for Outfit Snapshots I repeated some things. I am human, after all. These posts show you what I wear on the daily and sometimes, like anyone else I repeat things. When I do, I try and switch my jeans or my jacket or my shoes to feel like I did not just pick my clothes off the hanger and put them right back on. This week I doubled up on the softest grey sweater and the most fun cold shoulder sweater.
OUTFIT SNAPSHOTS- WEEK OF 2/13-2/18
Monday- This is usually my errand running day and here is where I first wore the grey sweater. It is SO SOFT and perfect to transition to Spring. And I know it is blurry. I forgot my tripod and tried to balance my camera on an orange cone. This is the best I got!
Thursday- I honestly cannot remember what I did this day. Probably Target again with my adorable little photobomber.
Top (it is super long so I knotted it with these jeans. I would wear it long with leggings) // Jeans // Boots
Friday- I GOT MY HAIRCUT TODAY! Very exciting. I am loving it. Believe me I struggled with this decision for weeks, maybe even months. But I really felt I needed a changed. I decided to do a blunt chop- not too short or long but enough where I felt I had a healthy haircut and new style. So far zero regrets!
