I do not think it is a huge surprise that I shy away from color. I try to buy it and I think I love it but after I wear it maybe once I question my decision. It is a comfort thing and I really am the most comfortable in neutrals. But every now and then, I find myself injecting some color. Like this mustard tiered cami.
This top was one of those items where I was walking in the store and it just caught my eye. I think it was because it was in Target and the top looked so expensive. It really did and it does. So I made my way over to it wishing and hoping my size was available and was excitedly anticipating touching a soft velvet. Please don’t feel cheap, I told myself. I was SO THRILLED. Multiple sizes were available AND it did not feel or look the slightest bit cheap. The price, yes, cheap. &13.98!
This mustard color is one you will be seeing on everyone this Fall. I don’t like yellow. At all. But there is something about this autumnal golden hue that I am very drawn to at the moment. I cannot see myself stocking my closet with this yellow tone but if that one stand out piece for a fun date night appears you better believe it is getting grabbed up.
I did wear this out to dinner and drinks with Joe and our neighbors and it was the perfect top to style with a pair of washed out black jeans, Mine are old from Zara but I found an almost identical pair here with double zippers that I LOVE! I finished off the look with my open foot black sandals, a black chain strap bag and a delicate gold necklace from my favorite jewelry brand, Gorjana.
